Chet Baker Trio - Sad Walk

The cartridge is an Audio Technica AT-OC9XEN, which is a nice entry-level moving coil cartridge with a nude elliptical stylus on a tapered aluminium cantilever.
It's high frequencies are way softer than its MM counterparts from Audio Technica.
The audio recorded by the microphone is replaced by a recording using the same setup and an Asus Essence STX II soundcard.
While YouTube isn't the best place to preview sound quality, it'll be good enough to get an impression of the characteristic sound and looks of the setup.

It's used in combination with a SPL Phonos pre-amp.
The sound is a bit warm and less bright than most cartridges, in some cases a bit lacking in high frequencies, but that can be compensated for by adjusting the load resistance on the preamp.
For this recording I've set the load resistance on 470ohms.
I've kept the other settings at default recommended (2 grams VTF, 2 Anti-skating and VTA parallel to record surface).
