This film explores the links between gender-based violence, land insecurity and disaster vulnerability in the informal settlements of Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. Christian Aid partner FORGE helps vulnerable groups there to organise themselves and work with, rather than against, government to tackle the problems that affect them. The film also demonstrates how tackling very personal power imbalances is an important step towards empowering communities to fighter poverty, risk and injustice at a larger scale.
