Rye Presbyterian Nursery School is known for being a preschool inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of early education. At RPNS, projects and investigations emerge from the students’ ideas and interests. During the 2015-2016 school year one of the four year old classes embarked on a study of Robots. The students learned about batteries, energy, and circuits. Watch the video to see how the children’s ideas influenced their play and led to the integration of science and literacy in the classroom.
