Subaru Natsuki, a boy born to a family living in the Holy Kingdom of Gusteko who had been born with a powerful blessing. The Ten Shadows, a blessing said to have the ability to rival that of the current Sword Saint, Reinhard Van Astrea, was greatly sought after.

Born to Naoko and Kenichi Natsuki, and quickly losing his mother, Naoko, Subaru was left alone with his older sister as his father, Kenichi, hadn’t been around since before he was born.

At the age of 10 he was approached by a man claiming to know his father, the man had red hair and bright blue eyes. Introducing himself as Reinhard Van Astrea, the man began to speak. However, Subaru was uninterested in what the man had to say… until the man mentioned the curse on Tsumiki, his older sister.

Choosing to join Reinhard, who said Subaru could become strong enough to save Tsumiki, Subaru trained his abilities under Reinhard’s tutelage. Joining a group of Knights at the academy, being dubbed ‘Team Lugnica’, Subaru would be dispatched on missions regularly.

It was during one such mission, that he encountered a silver haired half elf woman, who called herself by the name of the Envious Witch, Satella, who had lost her amulet. Issei had helped the young woman find the amulet, only to encounter another Royal Candidate, Felt. During their confrontation, the small group was attacked by Elsa, the Bowel Hunter.

Falling victim to Elsa, and finding himself standing in front of the appa stand he was at merely 40 minutes prior, perfectly safe… having looped in time.

Knowing what would happen, Subaru called for his mentor and father figure, Reinhard, for assistance. Especially in handling Elsa… who had brutally killed him once already.

Characters:

Rem and Ram: The two twin maids have not met Subaru and don’t have an opinion on him.

Crusch: Has only heard about Subaru from Wilhelm, who had divulged that small piece of information about his grandson.

Emilia: Has a good opinion of Subaru, as he helped her. But wonders why he would turn down her gratitude.

Julius: Has heard about Subaru through rumors at the Knight Academy, but nothing beyond him being a protege of the Sword Saint, himself.

Reinhard: Reinhard has spent a long time with Subaru, viewing the boy as a younger brother instead of a son. Reinhard is one of the few individuals that know about Subaru’s blessing.
