Greek and Persian food are both world famous. Both often feature food with meat on a skewer that is grilled to perfection, wonderful spices and herbs. These cuisines also often are served with a side of delicious seasoned rice, and also a side of bread.... sounds very similar, no? On a map, both Greece and Iran are in a similar part of the world, but it is still pretty far away from each other. So what explains the similarities between the two cultural cuisines?
