well, there's Jon Stewart and there's John Oliver, but in my opinion the funniest person ever to be seen on the daily show was Wyatt Cenac. He's got a hillarious way of combining subtle, "sophisticated", laconical humor with a good portion of silliness. Also he's got what every good stand up comedian needs: He's a keen observer of human behavior and manages to selectively carve out the irrationality in it.
"Comedy Person" is one of my all time favorites, besides names like Richard Pryor , David Cross, Bill Hicks or Louis C.K.
