Filmmakers and patients featured in the Netflix documentary The Bleeding Edge answered audience questions at the film’s 2018 Tribeca Film Festival premiere.

The film screening took place at Cinépolis Chelsea in New York City on April 21, 2018.

Women harmed by Essure permanent birth control, pelvic mesh and the DaVinci surgical robot talked about their experiences.

Patients who attended came from various patient advocacy groups. These include Essure Problems, Mesh Awareness Movement and Unplug the Robot.

Dr. Julio Novoa, an OB/GYN who has removed Essure coils, also attended. Film director Kirby Dick and producers Amy Ziering and Amy Herdy joined them.
