How to Design a Compact and Efficient 1kW Power Supply

Описание к видео How to Design a Compact and Efficient 1kW Power Supply

Speaker: Alessandro Maggioni (Onsemi) | Duration: ca. 45 min incl. Q&A

In this seminar, we are going to show how a compact, efficient and with high performance PFC-LLC power supply, can be implemented. The solution is a 1kW, Universal Input, 48V Output Power Supply. This design ses an innovative Multi−Mode (MM) and Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller IC designed to drive the bridgeless totem pole PFC topology, and an enhanced, high-performance current mode controller for half-bridge resonant converters, in combination with full WBG switches. This Modular concept ( PFC Flat Wire inductor, Bridgeless PFC, GaN technology, LLC 300+ kHz switching frequency and Synchronous rectifier), brings the advantages having the Main Board PCB with 2-layers only, in a 278 × 92.3 × 50 mm board, with an overall efficiency above 96%.
