UK plans to cut emissions by 81%, PM announces | COP29 climate summit

Sir Keir Starmer has made a major climate pledge, to cut UK emissions by 81% from 1990 levels by 2035.

The prime minister told the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan the commitment won't result in people having to change the way they live.

Net Zero Secretary Ed Miliband says this goal is "achievable" and can be done in a way that's in "people's financial interest".
