Idk if you guys have been watching the US Open but I was watching this whole debacle with Taylor Townsend who was killing it in the tournament and being herself while doing it. Dealing with all the criticism. You guys saw the situation with her and Ostapenko after the match where she was repeatedly calling Townsend uneducated. What is it with some white folks calling black women uneducated when they’re some of the most educated people in this country? We’ve had so much growth with black people in the sport of tennis with people like CoCo Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Frances Taifoe, Sloan Stephens, Ben Shelton, Chris Eubanks, and obviously we know what the Williams sisters means to the game. And for Ostapenko to throw out racial slurs is just is just ignorant. Shoutout to all of the pillars of the sports like Arthur Ashe & Althea Gibson. It’s a shame that we’re still dealing with this in 2025. Keep shining Taylor!

Btw, I’ve always been a fan of tennis. Way back when it was Jimmy Connors, Vitas Gerulaitis, Martina Navratilova, Christy Everett Lloyd, Pam Shriver, John Mcenroe etc. I watched all these cats so I know a thing or two about the sport. 🎾
