Non-vegetarian food, alcohol, onion, garlic
Iron and iron-made items
New clothes, gold-silver jewelry, vehicles, land/house
Footwear, wedding or auspicious event items
Even broom (jhadu) is considered inauspicious to buy
✅ Things considered auspicious to buy during Pitru Paksha:
Ritual items: barley, black sesame, kusa grass, rice
Jasmine oil, incense sticks, lamps
Religious books and items for donation
