Total Superheat Method used to Check the Refrigerant Charge of AC's with a Fixed Orifice

In this HVAC Service Training Video, I explain Step By Step How to Check the Refrigerant Charge using the Total Superheat Method for Systems with a Fixed Orifice such as a Capillary Tube or Piston Metering Device. I show how to Find the Target Superheat using a Target Superheat Chart and how to know if the Unit is Low on Refrigerant Undercharged or Overcharged. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVACR Tech while performing tasks as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety. Make sure that you are EPA 608 certified before handling refrigerants!
