Tudor Dress Part 1: Making a 16th-Century Tudor Kirtle using a Pattern from The Tudor Tailor

Описание к видео Tudor Dress Part 1: Making a 16th-Century Tudor Kirtle using a Pattern from The Tudor Tailor

Today we’re transforming a thrift store curtain into a Tudor Kirtle! Learn how to draft a 16th-century kirtle using the patterns in The Tudor Tailor. Not gonna lie this outfit is deeply inspired by the CW show Reign, Ruth Goodman in Tudor Monastery Farm, my Shakespeare-themed coloring book and the stack of Elizabeth I biographies I have next to my bed.

Learn how to make a Tudor kirtle that will be a great addition to your next renaissance faire!

In the coming weeks, I plan to make the needed 16th-century undergarments including a 16th-century shift, a bum roll, French hood, sleeves, and a crinoline. If I get extra fancy I may even make an overgrown or a jacket.
