The Himalayas are one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It's much more than the highest mountains on Earth. They extend in a 2,410-km curve across South Asia. The highest mountains on Earth are full of secrets and mysteries. Locals revere them not just for being home to rare sanative herbs or even as a haven for sports. To the Hindus this great grandfather-like figure has always been an abode of gods, so they referred to the Himalayas as devatma or God-souled. The Himalayas are often called the home of the Gods.

People go here for spiritual enlightenment, self-realization, or to conquer the peaks. Each has its own goal, but the one who has visited these slopes will never be the same.

Tamar was there for about two weeks. Enlightenment, self-realization, and conquering Langtang Valley mountain were all experienced. For Run the Dish, she is sharing her unique foodie experience in this atmospheric video. The Hindu people of Nepal are mostly vegetarian. Yaks and cows are only used for milk. Tamar personally thinks this is a miss on feeding and nourishment to a struggling country. As meat is the most nutrient dense food on the planet. Here's hope for healthy changes. Below is their recipe for Mo-mo Masala.

For the Dough:
Combine the plain flour, salt and baking powder in a deep bowl, mix well and knead to a stiff dough with water. Keep aside.

For the Filling:
Heat the animal based oil in broad pan, add the onions and garlic and sauté on a high flame. Add the carrot and cabbage, and GRASS FED GROUND BEEF sauté for 4 minutes. Remove from the flame.

How to make Mo-mo:
Roll the dough thin and cut in to 4-5" rounds. Take a round, wet edges and place some filling in the center. Bring edges together to cover the filling. Twist to seal and fill the rest in the same way. Steam for about 10 minutes.
