US Carbines of WWII

The United States would enter the Second World War with its main infantry rifle being the M1 Garand. However, the need for a lighter and shorter rifle for its rear echelon and support troops was sought. Meet the M1 Carbine, a much smaller rifle than the Garand, the M1 Carbine would see wide spread use throughout World War Two. Not only that it had a number of variants. But was the M1 Carbine any good? In today's video we look at the US Carbines of WWII.
