How To Play River Of Tears On Guitar | Eric Clapton Guitar Lesson + Tutorial
In today's guitar lesson you'll learn how to use arpeggio picking to create a rolling accompaniment guitar part for Eric Clapton's "River of Tears."

This tune has a mellow laid back groove, and is in a 6/8 time signature. Developing your arpeggio picking requires accuracy in your strum hand. You want to be able to pick out certain notes of a chord vs. just strumming all the strings.

For this tutorial today the goal is to emulate the main accompaniment, which is actually played by the keyboard. Arpeggio picking is a super valuable technique for you to develop and will come in handy when playing many songs. There are only two main sections to learn, the A and B sections, and when you're done with this video you'll have everything you need to go play "River Of Tears" on guitar right along with the original recording.
