EVO ACCESS SEASON 2 | EP 1 AHPVSS RD 1 - MT GAMBIER 8 HOUR PEDAL PRIX

Welcome to EVO Access, a video series that looks behind the scenes of what makes the UniSA Pedal Prix Team tick. Season 2 is upon us. Join the crew at the first round of the AHPVSS in Mount Gambier.

This was a special one, the first race of the 2024 UniSA #ahpvss was one for new beginnings. With a lengthy rebuild process after the disappointment of Murray Bridge 2023, just making it to the start line was even going to be a challenge. With Justin putting in a huge effort over summer, as well as with the assistance from Aaron from Aurora Racing we were able to not only get ready faster than before, but in fact test new technologies and keep pushing that envelope.

With the first race in Mt Gambier, we started 3rd on the grid. After the first 2 hours slipping back to 5th. However after a review into tactics and strategy, as well as new heat mitigation techniques, our style changed. With Justin heading race day operations, and Gen ensuring nutrition, recovery and preparation was dialled, the team was firing. Ticking away at the other teams until we slipped into 2nd with under 1 hour to go. With Griffin holding it to the end. This season was about new beginnings, and this breakthrough is something that is incredibly special to the team and our support network.
