Ciprian Porumbescu -- Balada --Dragos Ilie --classical guitar

Ciprian Porumbescu's Balada is one of the most famous pieces in the Romanian musical literature. To me, Porumbescu perfectly captures the identity and essence of the Romanian spirit. It was precisely the sense of nostalgia and longing for home that compelled me to arrange it for the guitar. This idea developed into a larger project: a CD recording of Romanian and international works. Huge thanks to Radio Romania Muzical and to the Grant "Mostenitorii Romaniei Muzicale" for bringing this project to life.
