SINGAPORE'S VAST COUNTRYSIDE? // Kranji Marshes, Bollywood Farms, Poison Ivy Cafe AND a Goat Farm

A day out in the countryside here in Singapore?

Having spent some time living in the countryside in the UK we couldn't imagine finding something like it here in Singapore. Usually you're never too far from the sounds of cars or seeing high-rise buildings poking their heads above the trees.
BUT for $5 per person you can hop on and off the Kranji Shuttle Bus and experience the Kranji countryside!

We made an early(ish) start and hopped on the bus that would be taking us all to the three stops I had planned, that's just $20 for the whole family.

Our first stop felt very ulu, we were the only people about for quite a while, not a tall building in sight and we could only hear the hum of farm machines under the bird songs. We headed up to the look out tower which gave us incredible spread out views over open lands, marsh and the tall buildings suddenly looked small so far away.

Then it was back on the bus to Bollywood Veggies. Our only regret is that we hadn't made time to go out here sooner! In the video you'll hopefully get a glimpse of why we loved it so much and that you really must go. Wandering around what felt like kampong of days gone by, smelling the herb garden, spotting fruit in the trees to then to go and taste some of the home-grown produce in the amazing Poison Ivy Cafe was just a brilliant stop in itself.

But our trip was not over, so we ran to the bus and made our way to what would be our final stop of the day, Hay Dairies Goat Farm. Here we got to meet the goats and feed them before sampling some fresh goats milk. Check the video for the verdict!

A full day that had so many holiday vibes about it. From the hop-on-hop-off shuttle bus, to experiencing things we never usually see in Singapore. It was a memorable day out for sure, one we all want to repeat pretty soon too!
