In the Facebook faceoff, I.T Ministry officials as well as Facebook India team has been summoned by Parliamentary Panel on September 2. This has been initiated after an American company cited that Facebook had not followed the hate-speech rules in relation to a video posted against the BJP.

BJP has seemed the removal of Shashi Tharoor from the Parl panel. This row has now turned into a political war. Congress says BJP is indulging in vendetta politics. Congress and BJP are trading barbs over the Facebook row. BJP says the language used by Shashi Tharoor is inappropriate. He cannot speak without the permission of the speaker.
