Crazy Modernization of a Thyssenkrupp ISIS Elevator

(February 2023) I wanted to check up on the insane Thyssenkrupp elevator I found a few years ago at Seascape condos, but to my surprise, this thing got an absolutely unexpected and crazy modernization. At first, it seemed like a total replacement, but after riding it and further research, they managed to upgrade a Thyssenkrupp ISIS elevator with a new Smartrise controller, fixtures, and other components while keeping the original motor in the pit! I've never seen anything like this before, and it's really interesting way to modernize one of these. I'm kind of sad the original junky elevator is gone, but this is a huge improvement to what was here.
