Raising of the Mary Rose (1982)

When they raised Henry VIII's favourite ship 'Mary Rose' which was tragically lost in 1545, in 1982 following years of excavations. You can now visit the Mary Rose Museum to see the ship and most of her contents at Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard (UK).

This footage demonstrates the delays of the lifting frame not fitting in place on Sunday 10th October, as well as footage in highlights from the day of the lift (11th October)
