One Thing to Die For - Iridion II Final Stage Musical Tribute/100 Subscriber Special!

Описание к видео One Thing to Die For - Iridion II Final Stage Musical Tribute/100 Subscriber Special!

For the incredible (to me) milestone of 100 subscribers, I present a special tune inspired by the final mission of Iridion II, and nearly the final chronological track in this particular journey of music. Thank you so much for sharing a few minutes of your time and lending an ear, I hope you enjoy! More projects soon to come!

It's been over a century since the Iridion Star Empire first attempted an invasion of planet Earth, and humanity's hero, pilot of the experimental SHN-1 starfighter, drove them back and destroyed their nefarious Mainframe. Humanity has spent the years colonizing distant planets, thanks to technology salvaged from the Iridion invaders, and have created a thriving interstellar society across five galaxies. The Iridion menace had been overthrown... or so it seemed.

Without warning, all FTL communication was cut, as the human colonies found themselves under overwhelming attack by resurgent forces of the Iridion Empire, commanded by a new Mainframe and determined to avenge their former defeat. With planet Earth as the last stronghold of mankind, the newest experimental starfighter, SHN-27, embarks on an interstellar campaign to liberate the human colony worlds and destroy the Empire's Mainframe once and for all, piloted by the great-grandson of the hero of old.

Iridion 3D, and its sequel, Iridion II, were released in 2001 and 2003 respectively, for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, developed by Shin'En Multimedia and published by Majesco Entertainment; in 2020, these two games were re-released on Steam by Piko Interactive. These classic "Shmup" games featured cutting edge (for their time) graphics and sound engine, and are fondly remembered for their excellent soundtracks. This album is a tribute to those games, featuring a little storytelling in song.

Featuring lyrics written by Noah Loyd. Utilizes generative AI engines Midjourney (for images) and Suno (for music.)
