*FASTEST* Way To Core Memories With Your Family! Infield Camping at NASCAR's Pocono Raceway!

A few months back I asked my kids if they could do anything again from our travels so far what would it be? Each one of them mentioned NASCAR. A few days later a friend mentioned they would be going to a NASCAR race weekend and invited us to join. The last time was so fun and the kids wanted to go anyways so you know I immediately said yes!

Let's start this off by prefacing that we know nothing of the sport of NASCAR other than some basic stuff we learned last year at Watkins Glen. This time we'd be going to the Pocono Raceway, also known as The Tricky Triangle.

Here's the thing, I'm sold! The NASCAR race weekend at Pocono Raceway is one of the best, if not THE best, family friendly camping experience in existence. I've camped in tents my whole life about one weekend every other month so I'm quite aware of some awesome camping experiences. We've also been RVing in our double decker bus conversion for over a year so we know a thing or two about RVing at this point and the great experiences families can have regardless of the camping style they choose.

This NASCAR race weekend takes the cake. From the moment we arrived at the Pocono Raceway to the moment we left we enjoyed every bit of it. The entire experience is a flood of emotions and core memories being created. The sounds, the sights, the friends, the family. It's ALL fantastic!

In our humble opinion, as (previously) non-race fans, this is the greatest way to spend a weekend creating memories with your family because NASCAR race weekends are so family friendly AND kids 12 and under are FREE at Pocono Raceway for this race weekend and depending on the race kids tickets are free or discounted at all NASCAR tracks.

FREE access to the #PoconoMtns Inclusive Playground, located in the Pocono Raceway infield, where children of all abilities can learn, grow and play together.
FREE access to the Pocono Mountains Activities & Welcome Center, complete with daily activities for all ages.

Did you know? Pocono Raceway is also known as the Tricky Triangle, is family-owned, and is located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

It's also been in business for over 50 years, the Raceway hosts multiple national motorsport events every year.

Pocono Raceway is recognized as the world's first privately-owned solar-powered sports facility. Their 25-acre, three-megawatt solar farm provides the energy needs of the Raceway, as well as adding electricity to the local power grid.

We camped in the infield near turn 3 with six other incredible families who made our experience even more epic! We positioned our rigs around the site to give our families plenty of area to play and spend time with each other when not at the Fun Zone or watching the races. This worked out perfectly!

We loved watching all 4 races of the weekend and learning more about the sport while also connecting with our friends, making new friends, and hanging out in the pits with our favorite pit crew member Kap Houston!

From the reptile show for the kids to the concerts at night to the fireworks and the playground Pocono Raceway made certain we would have fun even if we weren't race fans.

I don't think I've ever been so excited to go to a camping event and honestly, I can't recall a camping experience that left me grinning from ear to ear as long as this one has!

So, our first piece of parental advice: TAKE YOUR KIDS CAMPING AT A NASCAR RACE!

You will remember it forever and they will remember it forever. Absolutely worth it!

While we've never been avid motor sports fans we have come to LOVE these incredible family friendly race weekends at NASCAR. There is so much for the kids to do and see and it's an incredibly affordable way to spend the weekend creating core memories with the kids!

Another thing I didn't know until we went to our first NASCAR event is that there are multiple races you get to experience over the weekend. It's seriously one of the most exciting and memorable events we ever go to.
