🧾 Why this is controversial
Several candidates with a *B.Pharm* degree expected eligibility for pharmacist posts, but the PGIMER recruitment notification lists *D.Pharm* as the essential qualification. Courts and state recruitment rules have given mixed signals across India — in some High Courts B.Pharm holders were allowed to apply or the diploma-only clause was questioned, while other courts have upheld the service rules that require D.Pharm unless rules are formally amended. Because of this, many B.Pharm graduates are confused whether to apply or risk rejection.

📌 What you MUST do before applying
1. *Read the official PDF notification* and check the exact “Essential Qualifications” and registration clause. If the notification mentions only D.Pharm + registration, B.Pharm alone may not meet the eligibility — courts have emphasised that higher qualification doesn’t automatically change service rules unless rules are amended. 2
