Broth:
3 liters of water, 600g pork ribs or beef attached to a bone, 1 onion, 1 carrot
2 bay leaves and some peppercorns, 1 tsp salt
Borscht
2 medium beets peeled and cut or grated
3 medium potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
2 medium carrots cut or grated
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 bay leaf
3 tbsp tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste
