I Quit My Job to Be A Full-Time App Developer

The very first version of Sofa launched in September of 2015. At that time, it was a three-person team. I was the designer, Oli was the iOS developer, and Dan was the web developer.

Life happened, and Oli and Dan weren’t able to continue working on it. I was hungry to push the idea and product forward, so I decided to learn iOS development and launched Sofa 2.0 in December of 2017 and have been working on it myself ever since.

During the past 8 years, Sofa is something I’ve done on the side. I’ve had a full-time job as a designer and worked on Sofa during nights and weekends.

Today marks a very big moment for me…I’ve quit my day job to focus on Sofa full-time.
