Shrek 2 takes everything that was successful about the first film in the franchise and attempted to expand out the characters, world and magical lore. With new characters like Puss In Boots, The Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming plus the Kingdom of Far Far Away it established Shrek as the biggest 3D animated franchise.
