Staying At A Ryokan | Traditional Japanese Inn | Onsen + Kaiseki Dinner Experience

Today we are headed to a ryokan! It was a long but fun journey to get there. We took the Disney Monorail to the JR Maihama Station and then a train to Tokyo Station. We took the bullet train to Kyoto and then a local train from Kyoto to Ogoto Onsen. While in Kyoto Station, we had a very random lunch, grabbing some cold croquettes at the Porta. Arriving in the onsen town was fine and we used a little cellphone on a cord to call for a shuttle from the small local train station. The ryokan shuttle arrived promptly. Welcome tea at the ryokan was a treat. We got our room and settled in, soaked in our private balcony onsen, changed into our yukata's, and had an interesting dinner in a private dining room. Dinner was an interesting experience to say the least. We relaxed for the evening, enjoying the onsen again, and had a fine sleep on our tatami mattresses! Overall we had a wonderful stay at Biwako Ryokusuitei!!
