Cactus Rescue Jahb

In this episode we take a look at some of the habitat slated to be destroyed by the coming border fence, as we head out to rescue and relocate some Rio Grande Barrel Cactus, #Hamatocactus sinuatus, that will be leveled in the coming months. Everything that lies between two pink ribbons tied to stakes and spaced 200' apart is going to be bulldozed to make way for the clearing on either side of the border wall.

Tamaulipan Thornscrub is already an endangered ecosystem and habitat type. We briefly explore some of the members of this unique plant community on the Rio Grande.
