I had the immense privilege of participating in this historic occasion alongside PM Modi at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, Ladakh. We paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

During this Rajat Jayanti, I had the honor of interacting with the Kargil War veterans from 1999, delving into the intricate details of the war. We discussed how artillery was effectively deployed, the crucial role civilians played, the challenges of scaling the treacherous heights, and the heroic efforts that led to reclaiming mountain peaks from enemy forces.

The annual program at the Drass War Memorial stands as a powerful reminder of the courage and resilience of our soldiers who fought 25 years ago on the snow-covered peaks of Ladakh. Their legacy continues to inspire generations, and this commemoration reaffirms our nation's unwavering gratitude and respect for their sacrifice.
