In this video I discuss how we used the paper trail to confirm our DNA hypothesis for the Khazanovich family. In a previous video I discussed how DNA led me to connecting with Evan Wolfson and how we came up with a hypothesis that my 2nd great-grandfather Harris Kaseno and Evan's 2nd great-grandfather Isaac Chasan were cousins. Using documents from Kyiv, Fastiv, and Vasilykiv, which were digitized by Alex Krakovsky, Evan and a translator were able to find the Khazanovich family in the Fastiv 1858 revision list. The information from the revision list connected perfectly with all the information we had on both my side of the family and Evan's side of the family. There is more genealogy research to be done to further confirm our hypothesis but with all information obtained from our family history research it seems quite likely that the family in the 1858 revision list is the correct family.
