Tsg Ramon Sabellina was the platoon sergeant at the 4th Scout Ranger Company when the major clash in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan happened in 2009. A total of 24 Marines, Rangers and Light Reaction Company officers and men were killed that day, among them was Tsg Sabellina's platoon leader, Lt Chester Barela.
