While I was in Holland, i went to go see a few buddies of mine at a KNPV tournament. The KNPV is the royal dutch police dog training program. Dogs go thru a series of obedience,bite work, article searching, and tracking to receive a certificate to be a candidate for a police dog. Dogs are shipped to police departments worldwide or stay in Holland at local departments. In my opinion these are some of the hardest dogs on the planet. This program is for elite dogs and requires very specific dogs. The trainers and clubs are also top level in what they do. If i ever get a shepherd it will be from a KNPV line.
