Guide Summary:
Method 1: Afk and decent xp
Go to an essence creature and click on it. If you click on it again anytime before getting 10 runes it will keep the creature alive till you hit another 10 runes. It is possible to keep them alive forever. If you run low on essence you can collect more from the floating essence all over, or you can kill an ess creature now and then to get essence from them.
Method 2: Less afk and great exp
Siphon from high level nodes. You can use a runespan friends chat("W36 Runespan" "Runespan HQ" "Sphere Heros" "Runespan Pro" "W69 Runespan" "Runespan" "W99 Runespan" "W36Spanners"). I recommend just sticking with a couple islands and not going all over. I use 17, 24, 25, 26(see image link below). You should also give runes to the yellow wizards. Giving the runes that they ask for is ideal, but if you don't have all types of runes then just give them 10 of the highest type of rune that you have(A tip from TheSkillcave: before level 77 it is not worth it giving the yellow wizard the runes he asks for, before level 77 it is advised that you just give him the highest rune you have).

Rewards:
A Pouch to hold 18 Essence. It isn't possible to repair it.
Runic Staves. They can be charged with any spell and it can also absorb certain spells which are cast at someone weilding it(very useful for scoring in cw vs barragers).
Wicked Robes. They add to the amount of essence that you can get from the wicked hood daily.
Esteem. Purely cosmetic changes to the wicked items which show how much you nolife Runespan.
