No Holes Kayak Anchor DIY, How To Use The Quick Release Anchoring System, Old Town 106 Sportsman

Описание к видео No Holes Kayak Anchor DIY, How To Use The Quick Release Anchoring System, Old Town 106 Sportsman

The best way to anchor a kayak using the quick release DIY no holes system. This demonstration is done with the Old Town 106 Sportsman Powered By Minn Kota ( http://bit.ly/oldtown_sportsman_radre... ) in saltwater. I also use this same set up on my Predator PDL. This is the perfect method for anchoring a kayak in areas where there's current or the possibility of encountering large waves. The quick release system is designed to allow the user to quickly separate the kayak from the line when danger is present.

DIY Quick Release Anchor Parts Needed

1. 1/4" to 3/8" thick rope
2. Extension cord holder
3. Stainless steel chain
4. Carabiner clip
5. Buoy or float
6. Bungee strap
7. Anchor
8. Track mount cleat
9. Velcro strap

This video includes a complete walk through of all the parts needed, how they work together, and an on the water demonstration of how to anchor a kayak. I chose this system because I mostly fish in saltwater where there is current. I wanted something that was reasonably priced and that would allow me to install it without drilling holes in my kayak. With plenty of practice I was able to get really good at using this method.
