As the government continues its campaign against gender-based violence, 35-year-old Katlego Selebalo is recovering from a near death attack, allegedly by her lover. She woke up in a pool of her own blood when she regained consciousness on Tuesday night, after she had been hit on the forehead with a sharp object. Her neighbours came to her rescue after hearing her harrowing screams. The two had been in an altercation after Katlego told the man she was no longer interested in pursuing the relationship. She relates her story to Newzroom Afrika's Refiloe Seboko.
