Ninja 250 vs WR250R

So if you have ever asked the question "Is a Ninja 250 faster than a 250 dirt bike?" then this video might help you a bit, or not...

The skinny:
The 250 ninja is just a 250 ninja- no mods at all.
The WR250R is pretty heavily modified. It's actually a 290, so it is not an entirely fair comparison.(check out my video called "Boomer 2.90" for details on the mods)
Also, keep in mind that my WRR is still a WRR (dual sport), not a WR (woods bike) that people always seem to mistake it for. The WR is a "real" dirt bike, and even with all the modifications I have done to my WRR the WR will always be a faster machine.

The outcome:
Well first of all, ask yourself what does "faster" really mean. If faster is acceleration, the award goes to the WRR, if faster is top speed it would go to the Ninja. So without knowing how you are going to define the word "faster" I'll give my 2 cents:
To me "faster" means what bike feels faster when you ride it. It feels like my bike is slow and the Ninja 250 is ridiculously slow! Sure it will go about 15 mph more on the top end, but my WRR would kill it all the way to around 80 mph. Unless you plan on never trying to accelerate and just want to go 95MPH everywhere I would suggest going with WRR because it will definitely seem like a faster bike.
