Days 96 and 97 Slabbin' it North - 2024 Ep 4

The day after Willville Bike Camp, I wake up in a hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. I had a good night’s sleep and had a decent complimentary breakfast before getting out on the Interstate. Going to be a lot of Interstate today and tomorrow. Later when I gas up and grab a coffee, I end up talking to an even older guy about the tent trailer and when I mention I am thinking of stopping at Gettysburg he tells me that his great. great grandfather, a Union Captain, on his father’s side was killed there and anther relative on his mother’s side, a Confederate dies there too. Makes me think of the present state of US politics.
I do go to Gettysburg but decide after an hour in the main building, I can’t do the site justice unless I come back and spend at least a full day there. I continue on and get a hotel just before it turns dark.
The next day, all I have to do is keep on major highways on my way to Troy, NY where I will visit my friends Bruce and Joan from Newfoundland.
