In this video I review the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Sun Grown. As the video mentions, the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva line has a dizzying array of wrappers and vitolas. There is a very difficult to comprehend system of main bands and foot band combinations to differentiate between blends.

The Gran Reserva is the “working man” part of the Fuente line – good cigars at an affordable price point.

Let’s start with construction – The burn and draw were very good and absolutely no issues with unraveling or the like. A very pleasant smoke in terms of being relatively problem-free.

I also liked the flavor profile on this cigar. Sticks labeled as “sun grown” usually imply at least medium-full body and some level of spice. This had nice body to it, but strength-wise very smooth. If you’re a newer smoker who is hesitant to try fuller body cigars, this would be a really good entry point.

Overall, I rated this cigar at 9/10. At $10 retail and good construction/flavor profile, this is a box-worthy and regular rotation cigar in my opinion. Boxes can be had (Dec 2024) for as low as $150 for a box of 20.
