In this 1954 animated short, Jerry Mouse takes on the role of a professor, teaching his young cousin Tuffy (also known as Nibbles) how to outwit cats. The lesson begins with Jerry illustrating the dangers of being caught by a cat and the importance of escaping to a mousehole. He then demonstrates using a mechanical cat's paw to teach Tuffy how to safely scout the surroundings. However, Tuffy's enthusiasm leads to unintended consequences, including accidentally trapping Jerry under the mechanical paw. As the lessons progress, Tuffy's unconventional methods challenge Jerry's teachings, culminating in Tuffy's unique approach to befriending Tom, much to Jerry's dismay.
