Blair and Rubio Join Trump's Gaza 'Board of Peace' – Reconstruction Plan Explained


The Trump administration has announced the formation of a new body called the “Board of Peace for Gaza”, placing former U.S. President Donald Trump as chairman and appointing key international figures to oversee Gaza’s post-war future.

Among the founding members are U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and former UK Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair, alongside Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, World Bank President Ajay Banga, private equity executive Marc Rowan, and U.S. National Security Adviser Robert Gabriel.

According to the White House, the board will temporarily oversee Gaza’s administration, manage reconstruction, and coordinate security as part of Trump’s 20-point plan to end the war between Israel and Hamas. An International Stabilisation Force (ISF) is also expected to be deployed, while a separate Palestinian technocratic committee (NCAG) will handle day-to-day governance.
