18th Century Britain (7/11)

Описание к видео 18th Century Britain (7/11)

Welcome to 18th century Britain. This period is sometimes called the Georgian era, but who sat on the throne mattered a lot less than what that throne sat on top of.

It might be the 18th century for the Gregorian calendar, but for Britain this was a century of firsts: first prime minister, first steam engine, first factory and first police force. But as unregulated industrial expansion continued Britain also caused much suffering and death, both at home and around the world.

The next episode, 19th century Britain, will be released on Monday 17th August 2020 – or possibly sooner, subscribe to keep updated.
