Horseshoe Canyon, in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, is considered a Top Ten pictograph site in the World. The painting, done by the Desert Archaic Culture, is called Barrier Canyon Style and is thought to be from 4000 to 1500 years old! We pass the High Panel and the Horseshoe Panel to reach our goal of the Great Gallery and the beautiful Holy Ghost Panel. It's a gorgeous 3.5 mile hike along a creek bed, through Cottonwood trees and soaring sandstone cliffs.
