World Elephant Day 2025 will be celebrated on August 12 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, focusing on elephant conservation, addressing human-elephant conflict, and raising public awareness. The event is organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. India, home to 60% of the world's wild elephants, launched Project Elephant in 1992 to conserve Asian elephants and their habitats.
