How I got into nails


I had always struggled with nail biting. But it got especially bad during my second pregnancy. I was finishing school and was under a lot of stress. I wanted to stop and I was sick of hearing these rude statements that I thought daily.

My friend told me about Luminary’s Gel that she had been getting on her nails and it helped them grow out.

I looked for people in my area that offered luminary builder gel and I made an appointment. I got them done twice and I was so shocked my brittle nails were staying strong and growing. It was costing more than I could afford at the time to go every two weeks. But I wanted my nails to keep growing. After watching the nail tech do it I wanted to try. I watched several YouTube videos about cuticle prep, builder gel, and of course some nail art.

I spent $200 and got everything I needed to start. I struggled at first but with practice I got better. My nails stayed strong and grew out. I am always learning and trying to improve my skill. It has become a nice break from my busy mom life. I love to express my creativity on a canvas that I get to enjoy everyday. I still can’t believe I have long nails. 🥹

If you would have told me 2 years ago I would have a nail account because I have long natural nails I would have laughed.

My goal is to show others that they can learn to do their own nails as well.
