Ricky Martin's touching gesture for 16-year-old fan

Ricky Martin was in the Nova studio with Fitzy and Wippa on 13 June 2013 and the Nova hosts wanted to share with Ricky what had happened since his last visit.

To make it a special event last time, Fitzy and Wippa organized for Ricky to be greeted in Nova reception with free breakfast. Ricky was excited, eating lots of fruit and taking a ham, cheese and tomato toastie. Well, he only ended up taking one bite of the toastie so Fitzy and Wippa souvenired it, got it framed, and ran a competition to win it!

The winner was 16-year-old Patil from Carlingford who had the most amazing reaction you've ever heard to winning a half-eaten toasted sandwich.

We played her reaction back to Ricky and he was so touched by it, he got Patil on the phone to speak to her in person and offer her tickets to his Australian concerts in September/October.

Patil was beside herself of course but still managed to tell Ricky what an inspiration he is and even thanked Fitzy and Wippa too.
