Penguin Cradle Trail - Day 1

Описание к видео Penguin Cradle Trail - Day 1

The Penguin Cradle Trail is the jewel in the crown for the North West Walking club here in Tasmania, who planned and built the track a number of decades ago. It was their part in attempting to build a track that connected the north of the state, with the south coast. What's remarkable about the walk is the diversity of scenery. Rugged canyons, wild rivers, wet and dry scIerophyll forest, farmland, buttongrass, road walking, alpine tarns, buttongrass, mountains, waterfalls and in our case, snow were all experienced!
I had wanted to walk it for some time, and we had the opportunity from September 25-30 this year. On Day 1, we organised the car shuffle, and walked from Penguin to Hardstaff Creek.
Music used: "Woodlands" by Wiljan and Xandra
