So Like I have been a partial suiter for 8 years now and I finally last week got myself a full suit. Different species, but same character pretty much.

Anyway I am yet to do any public suiting as him. So far just running around in my place! Actually I think the debut will be at Furdu this year...

But! Here is what I have noticed so far comparing partialling to full suiting!

Main one is cost. Both have added costs. Partialling, most people often get clothes that fit the theme of the character. Like this.
Or This. Or this. I've Had 8 years to collect these clothes. One last outfit

For full suiting though, generally it is more expensive. Like I don't remember exactly how much this guy costed me. hi wave But I know that even wi ECONOMIC inflation... stare and zoom that this point was at least 3 times more expensive. And that doesn't even account for the extra cooling that a full suit needs. Which brings me to point 2.

Cooling... I'm so cool

I am someone with quite a good heat tollerance. Growing up in Queensland and living in Sydney, Show some temp graphic I am a bit better acustom to the warmth. But, doing the unboxing video before any of my cooling attire arrived. I was panting and dripping sweat after only 10 minutes. This was at midnight as well.

Being in a partial, I can be running around all day in the heat and sun and be less sweaty than I was for that! Points Cooling vest's aint cheap either. $300 AUD for the cooling vest and another $150 AUD for the thermal wear clothing. This has a cat on it and it was only $20.

Mobility.

Now every suit is different, but, even then, full suit, especially a Digigrade suit feels a lot more cumbersome. Cute A F, but not what I want to be wearing in a zombie apocalypse. "haha, I'm in danger" A partial or especially a Mini partial like this, has a lot of movability. Since nothing is connected, you have full range of normal, natural feeling motion, limited only by the clothes you wear with it. A Full suit however is a lot more connected. For me, my feet to my wrists to my neck is all one piece. The one piece is real! Now I am not saying I am fully limited in my motion, but more its a bit more molasses like. Like lifting my arms up, I have to lift up the entire fursuit since its all connected. But in a partial. I lift my arms up and my shirt lifts up a little with it and thats it. This motion isn't connected to my pants, or my shoes, but in a full suit it is. I also put on a little weight between doing the duct tape dummy and getting the suit, so that might be part of it too.

But talking about extra padding. Digi legs are quite thick, even this being more of a slim digi look, it still does affect walking a little. And those with a lot of padding more waddle than walk. And that does bring up the next point too...

Packing, storage all that stuff.

This entire get up and go is able to fit in a backpack or duffle bag for local meets. And for hopping on a plane, he takes up 1/3 of a hard shell suitcase. Meanwhile, most full suits take up an entire suitcase alone. Folf putting full suit in suitcase For some thats not even enough and will often take part of it on carry on, usually the head. Some take this opportunity to put heads on take some photos, scaring any elderly on the plane into thinking its a animal themed hijacking. *Folf with gun*Fly me to the burmuda triangle.
