According to Pancham, this tune was loosely based on the signature tune of classic movie The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957). Since the song composed for Bahare Phir Bhi Aayegi(1966) was cancelled, the tune was later used for Yeh Dil Na Hota Bechara, song from Dev Anand film Jewel Theif (1967).
